Curragh, Co. Kildare – Sunday, January 25th — The National Sausage & Pudding Competition was held on Sunday, January 25th at the Curragh Racecourse, bringing together leading butchers and producers from across Ireland to celebrate excellence in traditional Irish sausage and pudding making.The event saw a strong field of entries across a wide range of categories, including fresh sausages, speciality sausages, black pudding and white pudding. All entries were blind-judged by an expert panel of industry professionals, who assessed each product on flavour, texture, balance, appearance, and overall quality.Judges praised the exceptionally high standard of entries in this year’s competition, noting both the consistency of traditional craftsmanship and the creativity shown by producers in newer and speciality categories.Following a full day of judging, awards were presented to producers who demonstrated outstanding quality and skill.
