National Sausage Competition Results 2025

The National Sausage Competition took place at the Curragh Racecourse on Sunday, January 26th.
Three judges embraced the challenge:
- Chef Paul Curry
- Dee Laffan: A freelance editor and food journalist, Dee currently contributes to the Irish Daily Star, Georgina Campbell's Ireland Guides, and serves as the Irish food blogger for OpenTable.
- Leslie Williams: A journalist and freelance food and wine writer, Leslie writes for various publications, including the Irish Examiner.
The judges noted the standard of product on display was exceptionally high, with each sausage offering its own unique blend of flavours and textures.
As the day progressed, the judges faced the difficult task of selecting the winner. After much deliberation, they announced the champion, praising not only the taste but also the passion and dedication of the producers. The winning sausage was a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, earning its place as a standout amongst a field of talented competitors.
