Our Mission

The Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland (ACBI) is dedicated to supporting and advancing the craft butcher sector. Our mission is to:

  • Promote and protect the interests of our members.

  • Operate programs and initiatives that benefit our members and aid their professional advancement.

  • Represent members’ interests to government, regulatory authorities, and other relevant bodies.

  • Advocate on behalf of members through participation in relevant associations and industry groups.

  • Provide support and assistance to defend and protect members’ rights related to the trade.

  • Take collective action as necessary to promote the interests of both the trade and the Association.

  • Encourage improvements or changes in laws affecting the trade and industry, taking steps as needed to achieve these goals.

  • Enhance the technical and general knowledge of members through training, promotional initiatives, and educational programs.

  • Engage with suppliers of financial and trade services to secure beneficial deals for members.

  • Acquire and maintain premises and administrative facilities necessary for the Association’s operations.

  • Undertake any other functions deemed necessary by the Executive Board or Annual General Meeting to meet these objectives.
