ACBI Partners in Business

The objective of ACBI 'Partner in Business' is to build a mutually beneficial partnership between ACBI and the participating company which will offer quality and value to ACBI members and open up a new market to the supplier through the ACBI network.

We are sourcing a range of products or services on behalf of members, through our 'Partners in Business' initiative.

ACBI 'Partner in Business' Programme

The objective of the ACBI 'Partner in Business' Programme is to build a partnership between ACBI and the participating company which will

-Enhance the company's profile with ACBI members and contribute to improved business opportunities,

-Offer improved services and/or products which are either exclusive or in some way special to ACBI members, and
-Contribute to the development of the Association and the trade.

The scheme is capable of flexibility and can be tailored to individual company need.

Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland is the representative and development body for independent meat companies in Ireland. This includes retail butchers, abattoirs, meat wholesalers and processors. ACBI current membership includes 590 retail butchers, 150 abattoirs and 50 processors/wholesalers.

We are sourcing a range of products or services on behalf of members, through our 'Partners in Business' initiative.

ACBI 'Partner in Business' Programme

The objective of the ACBI 'Partner in Business' Programme is to build a partnership between ACBI and the participating company which will

-Enhance the company's profile with ACBI members and contribute to improved business opportunities,
-Offer improved services and/or products which are either exclusive or in some way special to ACBI members, and
-Contribute to the development of the Association and the trade.

The scheme is capable of flexibility and can be tailored to individual company need.

However typical components might include two or more of the following;

a.Corporate membership of ACBI and/or membership of Associated Food Producers & Suppliers (AFPS) for eligible companies. For 2006 this stands at €708.96 in (payable monthly by direct debit).


b.A discounted or enhanced value offer exclusive to ACBI members on the participant company's products or services.


c.Commission to ACBI on an agreed basis of sales by the participant company.

d.Sponsorship of one or more ACBI activities or organisation by agreement with the Association of training events, demonstrations etc, to a significant value. This might also (for eligible companies) include membership of AFPS.

In general terms, the Partnership would be expected to produce significant value to ACBI and/or its members each year.

Benefits to the Partner

1.Certificate of membership of the scheme

2.Enhanced profile in;

a.Butchershop magazine, (6-8 issues per year)
b.The 'Partners in Business' page on the ACBI website, with link if desired. (See www.Craftbutchers.ie)

3.Participation in The Retail FoodShow at discounted rates

4.Entitlement to use the ACBI 'Partner in Business' logo on letterheads, vans and other promotional material.
5.Membership of AFPS for eligible companies, or otherwise, corporate membership of ACBI.

6.Participation in special 'Partner in Business' mailshots to ACBI.

7.Other ACBI endorsement as may be mutually agreed

The scheme is flexible and the Association is anxious to provide appropriate value for money for participants in a form which may suit their particular products of promotional projects.

There will be a limit to the number of Partners in each product area or market segment which will be determined by the size of the overall market in that segment of the trade. In general, numbers will be very limited and will be in the range of two to four.
