Consultation or Discipline is initiated by you, the employer. A grievance is initiated by the employee.
In general, these will be relatively minor, eg punctuality, poor attention to work, rudeness to customers etc, or a grievance about some aspect of conditions of employment.
You should consult ACBI at this stage. See also the Disciplinary procedure in the Employee's statement of Terms & Conditions of Employment (also part of this mailing)
Keeping records will keep you straight. More importantly. It will get the best out of your most important resource.....Your staff.
Conducted a full investigation
Given notice of and held a hearing into the alleged misconduct
Allowed for representation
Issued notice of termination in writing observing the correct notice period
