Associated Food Producers and Suppliers was set up by Associated Craft Butchers of Ireland to extend the development work undertaken by ACBI in the retail trade to processors, wholesalers and small manufacturers.
The group has about 50 members and in addition to getting the benefits of being in an Association they also make a contribution to supporting ACBI which is appreciated by retailers.
Think about it. There is no walk of life in Ireland today, most especially in business, that does not have an organisation to represent its interests and give its members a chance to come together and resolve business issues for themselves.
If there is a sector that needs it more than small meat companies then we would like to see it.
Being too busy to step back and look strategically at your business is not a sufficient excuse.
Basically no business can afford not to undertake regular strategic reviews of what it is doing.
